Born in Hong Kong, Kaif & her family lived in several countries before she moved to London. Katrina stepped in the industry in 2003 with a movie named Boom which was a critical and commercial failure. She kept on receiving modeling assignments in India and got the breakthrough with Maine Pyar Kyu Kiya (2005).

She was a talented actress who never failed to work hard. In the initial days, she was uncomfortable with the Hindi language and later achieved fluency in it. The boom was her first film which remained a disaster. But she got plenty of roles in other movies.

In an Interview Katrina said nobody liked me at school. Katrina also added that she was a shy girl and didn’t speak to anyone.
