Star Wars introduced us to a range of different planets, from arid deserts in Tatooine to metropolis cities in Coruscant. Matt Hudson, the expert on the topic and co-host of a podcast on Star Wars Sessions, carries out an investigation that can be interesting for those who wish to imagine themselves on these planets.
Bespin
It is a gas-filled plant that only has Cloud Towers that are inhabitable. As per Matt Hudson, Cloud City is sterile, clinical, and hospitable. It is more of a place where everyone simply works. Not an exciting destination for a full life here.
Rating: 7/10
Coruscant
This is home to the Jedi council and the political center for the galaxy as a whole. It is a metropolis as a whole and it offers city life 24/7. According to an interview carried out by Betway casino with Matt Hudson, it would remind one of the East End or the Brick Lane of London. Even though there are clubs and bars, it is a city on the go all the time. It also has a class system and for the poor, it is not so pleasant.
Rating: 6/10
Endor
This is a planet covered in forests, home of Eworks. MH says that those who love nature trails and the open outdoors will love it here. However, Ewoks are cold-blooded as is evident when they wanted to burn Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. It is a safe place for simple lives, however.
Rating: 8/10
Hoth
Rebel Alliance headquarters is a planet that has ice and snow only. The only places to live are the caves which also have the wampas, an apex predator species.
Rating: 1/10
Naboo
It is home to Queen Amidala, Gungans, and Jar Jar Binks. It also features in the prequel movies most. MH states that it is a cultural planet and has beautiful countryside, waterfalls, lakes, and meadows. Gungans lead cosmopolitan lives and things are pricey here. However, the overall vibe of the place makes it most desirable to live.
Rating: 10/10
Tatooine
This planet is famous for being the home of Luke Skywalker and Anakin. MH states that it is the planet that symbolizes Star Wars the best. Life here is balanced. If you work hard you can make a decent living here. There are two suns here and people need to adapt to the weather as well as the locals.
Rating: 5/10
Alderaan
This was an immensely beautiful planet that was home to Princess Leia and the Organa family. In the movies, it is destroyed by the Death Star. MH says that Alderaan is beautiful and desirable. It has kind, generous people and has beautiful scenery. So it gets full marks from his pre-explosion.
Rating: 0/10 (post-explosion), 10/10 (pre-explosion)
Mustafar
Mustafar is a lava planet where you find Obi-Wan Kenobi striking down Darth Vader. It is a planet that is hot all the time and has droid workers as the only inhabitants.
Rating: 0/10
Dagobah
This is a swamp-like planet where Luke Skywalker trained Yoda. As per MH, living here is akin to living in the Amazon forest. It is always a matter of survival and hence, one can only visit here.
Rating: 6/10
Kashyyyk
This is a jungle planet, home to Wookiee species. It has several beaches and forests. Also, Wookiees here can get you decent lodgings. One side of the planet does have wrecking machines, giant slugs, and spiders. However, as per Matt, pros do outweigh the cons here.
Rating: 7/10
