Movie Review
The idea of bringing a chimp as a major part of an appropriation movie is something unique to Indian cinema. Jiiva is an intelligent actor and his willingness to experiment with roles should be respected. In Gorilla too, he puts up very fine acting and consequently takes the movie forward. Shalini Pandey is the leading female but she has little scope for acting. Yogi Babu achieves the maximum among the co-actors the movie has. Satish too has done a proper role with his performance. The chimp comes up with an adorable act, which is sure to be splashed up by the audience. Radha Ravi is also does a vital role in the movie.
Sam CS’s capability to make thumping BGM is well-known and he repeats the shine once again in Gorilla. The songs are proper but fall short of excellence. The cinematography operated by RB Gurudev is fine. The editing is smooth and awesome in the first half. However, the editor could have carried more care about the changes in the second half.
